Export Documents

If you want to import or export lorries and trailers, you need the right documents.

The documents depend on the type of lorry, trailers, mode of transport and final destination.

Below you will find a selection of the most common documents.

EXPORT DOCUMENT (EX-A)

If you want to export a vehicle to a non-EU country, you do not have to pay VAT on the invoice. You need an EX-A export document that must be stamped by customs before the vehicle leaves the European Union. We offer EX-A documents as a standard service. Therefore, an EX-A is free. It takes about 30 mins. to prepare.

EUR-1

A Eur-1 provides the importer in the destination country the right to get discounts or even an exemption from import duties. It is valid in all countries that are part of the EU trade agreement. A Eur-1 costs EUR 100, and takes about 1 hour to prepare.

CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN

It is a commonly used document that shows the country in which a lorry or trailer is produced. Some countries want the certificate of origin to expedite or simplify the import of your lorry or trailer. A certificate of origin costs EUR 200 and takes about 1-2 weeks before it is ready.
